This is why I hate the stupid LA Times. They care more about making some cute quasi-pun than they do about making a headline that captures the moment. UCLA’s coach Rick Neuheisel was quoted during the week as saying “We’ve closed the gap on USC.” So of course USC takes that personally and because of that, and several other reasons I won’t get into here, USC comes out and puts a 50-0 ass-whooping on the Bruins. And what is the LA Times’ headline? “TROJANS HAVE A SAIL AT THE GAP.” Are you kidding me? I love puns as much as the next guy but come on, there is a time and a place. These guys presumably went to SCHOOL for this crap, and that’s the best headline they could come up with? This is the headline that was APPROVED by the editor???
